Answering God’s Call

At the core of our Order is a dedication to prayerful service as contemporary witnesses to Christ’s Passion.

As an Oblate you devote yourself wholly to God through:

  • Monastic vows of stability, conversion, and obedience
  • Contemplative spirituality and works of mercy
  • Reverent sacramental and religious duties
  • Diligent prayer

This is a life of purpose following Jesus’ invitation to each of us: “Come, follow Me.”

If you feel called to grow closer to God and walk with us as a spectator of Divine Love, you have found your community.

Together we support and uplift one another on the sacred path Christ chose for us. Discover your place among devoted friends pursuing holiness.

Formation

Heeding the admonishment of the Holy Father Benedict, the formation program of the Oblates of the Holy Passion is grounded in forming brothers and sisters in mind, body, and soul through diligent work and prayer (i.e. ora et labora).

We believe in the guidance of the Holy Rule, to “let [any person] not be granted an easy admittance,” (Rule of St. Benedict Ch. LVIII) and so, our entrance and formation program is designed to “Test the spirits, to see whether they come from God,” (1 John 4:1).
